Job Description: Preschool Office Assistant
Supervisor: Preschool Director
Classification: Non-exempt - FT
Description: A faithful Preschool Office Assistant is responsible for ensuring that the preschool office operates efficiently with the Christian philosophy of Rancho Christian Preschool and all relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
Areas of Expected Proficiency:
Possess a pleasant and courteous phone manner
Possess strong computer skills and maintain training in programs such as Google Docs, Word, Excel, Publisher, RenWeb, Facebook, Twitter and/or other necessary programs
Possess efficient mathematical skills to maintain basic accounting records, including tuition payments, purchase orders, reimbursements
Ensure that all office procedures, including registration and student files, are in compliance with Title 22 at all times
Provide information and tours to prospective families in a welcoming and pleasant manner
Must be able to quickly respond and summon for help in an emergency
Other Expectations:
Must be able to communicate exceptionally with parents, staff and children
Must be organized, efficient and detail-oriented
Possess a knowledge of the preschool program and curriculum
Abide by a code of confidentiality in all matters involving the children and families enrolled in the schools
Attend all scheduled staff meetings and training sessions, including completing 12 hours of professional growth a year
Assist, plan and participate in special events such as Back-to-School Night, Open House, etc.
Assist and participate in designated public relations, school fundraisers and community events sponsored by the school
Complete continued education units/additional college coursework as required by state licensing agency and/or ACSI
Preschool office employees who hold the necessary 12 core units will be assigned as the designated person in charge when the Director is absent from the facility
Assist teachers and/or supervise children in classrooms when necessary
Supervise children who are ill or waiting in the office for parent pick-up
Administer first aid to children when necessary
Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
Assist Director as needed
Perform other related duties as required
Physical Expectations:
Able to sit, stoop, bend, lift, reach, stand and walk for sustained periods of time
Able to use hands and fingers to perform tasks.
Able to speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate effectively.
Able to work in a wide range of weather conditions
Able to lift or pull at least 50 pounds
Able to speak, read and write in English

Demonstrate a passion for Christ and His Kingdom through personal spiritual discipline and public ministry
Seek to grow in that relationship with Christ through personal spiritual discipline, education, accountability and service to his Kingdom.
Believe that the Bible is God’s Word and standard for faith and daily living
Be a mature Christian role model in attitude, speech and actions
Professional Qualifications:
Must have 12 ECE units (courses approved by Title 22 regulations)
Christian preschool office management experience preferred
Be in compliance with education/experience requirements as outlined by Title 22 and ACSI, including obtaining a signed form by your physician prior to employment
Possess the ability to interact effectively and maintain a good rapport with parents, peers and administrative staff
Maintain current infant/child CPR and First Aid certification
Pass a TB test every 4 years
Proof of immunizations for DTaP, MMR, Influenza
Submit to fingerprinting and receive criminal clearance from the Department of Justice and FBI
Maintain Mandated Reporter Training every 2 years
